Parent Information Meeting (temporarily replaced with Open Houses and Parent Meetings)
We will have a Parent Information Meeting in August (see website for date) from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. (Please do not bring your children).
The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
7:00 – 7:15 Socialize and Volunteer sign up for committees and parties.
7:15 – 8:00 Introductions of Trent Staff and all parents, Emergency cards filled out, and details on procedural changes for this year.
8:00 – 8:30 Adjournment followed by Volunteer sign-up and meeting new parents.
This meeting is very important and should be attended by at least one parent from each family. We will be handing out folders with important forms for the year, and going over any procedural changes concerning the classes. Please mark your calendars now.

AM Class Phase-in for new students only. Wed – 9 to 10, Thurs – 9 to 10:30, Fri – 9 to 11
PM Class Phase-in for new students only. Wed – 12 to 1, Thurs – 12 to 1:30, Fri – 12 to 2.
First day for all students, including Extended Care.
All school picnic in the park (after school) 5:30pm – 7:00pm.
Montessori Workshops–for new parents
Kindergarten Parent’s Meeting
All of these meetings are held at the school and children are NOT to attend.
The Montessori workshops will give an overview of the Montessori method and demonstrations of some of the materials and how they work. All new parents who would like to learn a little more about Montessori are encouraged to attend.
The Kindergarten Weeks are a special time that will include in-depth classroom time, as well as nature walks, crafts, and possible field trips. Students should bring their lunch. After these weeks, the Kindergarten students will return at the regular class schedule.
The all-school picnic will give an opportunity for the students and the parents to get to know one another. This will be a very informal gathering and we ask that you bring your own picnic dinner and a blanket and/or lawn chairs.
We will go over details at the Parent Meeting, but feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions prior to the meeting. I will be vacationing at various times throughout the summer, but I will eventually get back to you.
As always, our goal is to provide a quality environment for your child at the best price. Tuition can be paid in full, by semester, or by the month. We continue to offer prompt payment discounts to those who pay on or before the first of the month. Also, we offer a further discount for those who pay once for the entire year or twice a year by semester-(August 1st and January 1st). Monthly tuition will be divided into 10 equal payments. The first payment is due by August 1st. Each succeeding month will be paid in accordance with our tuition policy: Aug. 1st, Sept. 1st, Oct. 1st, Nov. 1st, Dec. 1st, Jan. 1st, Feb. 1st, March 1st, April 1st, and May 1st. With the first payment due on or before August 1st, this gives us enough time to open spots for families on the waiting list. Payments may be dropped off at the school or mailed.

As a reminder, we need a current Immunization Certificate on file for every student at the beginning of the school year. According to law, your child will NOT be allowed to enter school without a current form on file. We must have the Kentucky Immunization Certificate (EPID-230). If your doctor does not have these forms, they should get in touch with the Northern Kentucky District Health Department at (859) 431-1704. Remember to ask your pediatrician for an updated form at your child’s annual physical. Kindergarten children will need a complete physical, a copy of their birth certificate, an eye exam performed by an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist, and dental exam.
If a change has occurred over the summer (such as an address, e-mail address, phone or name) please let me know prior to August 1st.
